Happy June! I can’t believe how fast this year has flown by! I had a busy month of May filled with traveling, great food, and trying new things. I attended my first MLS game at Soldier Field (no comment), saw Billie Marten and Tennis at the Salt Shed (SO good!), tried a new authentic Korean restaurant (YUM), spent a week out west in Colorado and Utah, and so on! I’m so happy the weather in Chicago is finally starting to warm up.
Since it’s the beginning of the month, let’s recap some of my favorite things from the month.
#1: Beyond Yoga’s Space Slim Racerback Cropped Tank
I have a slight obsession with these Beyond Yoga tank tops– I have 7 different colors! It’s just the perfect tank top to throw on with flowy shorts, biker shorts, or leggings. I wear them regularly for my daily hot girl walks or to just run errands. During my trip to Colorado and Utah this month, I went on 3 hike and wore a different one on each hike. They’re cute, practical, and most importantly- so comfortable.
#2: Salomon XT-6 Sneakers
Okay, okay, hear me out…. Did I buy these at first because I thought the trend was cute? Yes. BUT I took them to their natural habitat hiking in CO and UT and they were great! So comfortable, durable, and cute. I have them in brown and pink, both in the Xt-6 style. I’d say they run true to size. I wore my pink pair throughout my European vacation last month in Copenhagen and Stockholm and they were the perfect shoe for walking 20,000 steps everyday. I like how they look styled with jeans and a top, as well as workout clothes. I also wear them walking along the lake front or running errands. So versatile! This is one trend I’m happy to have fallen victim to. I definitely don’t need them, but I’ve been eyeing the all white pair.
#3: Staud Mini Moon Bag
I got a ton a use out of my two Staud Mini Moon bag‘s this month! They are made from 100% leather and also come with a removable crossbody strap. I love the shape of this bag, although I will admit they don’t hold too much. I can fit my essentials though- wallet, keys, phone, Aquaphor, lip stick and gloss, hand lotion, and mints/gum. The bag has a magnetic close- so no zipper, but I don’t really mind. I appreciate the simplicity of the mini moon bag, and while you can’t see it in these pictures, the white stitching is the perfect additive detail. Staud recently dropped the bigger size of this bag in seasonal colors multicolor raffia and striped raffia and I’m obsessed with both. I also love the mini moon bag in cream– I don’t have any cream/white bags, so this may be a future purchase one day.
#4: Crown Affair Hair Gel
I love a slicked-back pony- what can I say?! When I’m too lazy to wash my hair, it’s my easy go to hair style. I’ve been loving Crown Affair’s Finishing Gel for my slick backs. It has a great hold and smells so good. It definitely leaves your hair crunchy though but it does the trick. Crown Affair has great products! I have their leave in conditioner, shampoo, silk scrunchies, claw clips, hair towel, and hair brush (No. 001).
#5: Dazz Cam
This app lets you upload photos you took on your iPhone and you can choose from a variety of different options to make it look like the photo was shot on a vintage camera. It’s a fun twist to add to photos. Recently I’ve been having fun using the filter that makes the photo seem like it was taken on a disposable camera.
